We have substantial experience of working capital management, turnaround situations, Management Accounts preparation, Year-End Statutory Accounts & notes, fundraising, MBOs, Company sales, acquisitions & disposals and system implementation projects. Intervallum can assist your business whatever the challenges.

We work directly for companies but also assist some businesses via intermediaries such as Private Equity houses and banks, adding value from day one. If you are between CFOs, going through a permanent recruitment process or awaiting the completion of a new appointee’s notice period, Intervallum can act as a safe pair of hands and give continuity from old to new; safely keeping valuable knowledge within the business and creating a proper handover opportunity.

Paul has worked within Industry & Commerce since 1983 and at CFO/Finance Director/Board level since 1996. He has been a provider of Interim CFO/Finance Director services since 2004. He is currently the West Midlands Area Chair of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire Chair of the Institute of Directors (IoD).

Paul joined the business as a result of the Company’s MBO from Renew Holdings plc on 19 September 2005. He reflected the terms of this MBO within the books and performed the consolidation for the new holding company. Paul undertook a benchmarking exercise with our insurance policies and achieved a premium reduction in excess of 50%. Also, on the financial closure of a £100m PFI contract he negotiated a £10m performance bond premium of 0.8% with a commercial surety compared with the 2.5% the company had used previously via their bankers. During a later refinancing, Paul had involvement in the Vendor Due Diligence, Legal Due Diligence and Insurance Due Diligence as well as with the shareholder’s advisors. During his time with the business, it had grown from a turnover of £89m to a of £200m. All accounts were completed, and the packs sent out to the respective stakeholders within a 28 day deadline every month without fail.
